BNP helds`youth rally‍‍` in capital today

The ‍‍`Youth Rally‍‍` of BNP‍‍`s three organizations Jubo Dal, Secha Sebok Dal and Chhatra Dal will start at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

After holding a series of rallies in other parts of the country, the ‍‍`Youth Rally‍‍` is finally starting today at around 2 pm in Dhaka. 

On the other hand, although there is no program of Awami League on this day, the youth wing of the party Awami Jubo League will hold a protest march in front of the party office in Gulistan.

According to BNP sources, by staging a large showdown at the youth rally, the BNP hopes to send a new message to the anti-government movement. Besides, the young people want to learn about the movement‍‍`s new outlines from this event. 

Dhaka, Comilla, Mymensingh and Faridpur divisions altogether are holding a rally on Saturday. In the meantime, Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal and Secha Sebok Dal leaders and workers from different districts have started coming to the rally.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will speak as the chief guest. Mirza Abbas, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy along with BNP Standing Committee members, Vice Chairman and other senior leaders will be present in the rally.

A press conference was organized at the central office of BNP in Nayapaltan of the capital on Friday to highlight the position of the youth rally.

In the press conference, the president of the Jubo Dal, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku said, "This movement is headed by young leaders to establish the rights of the deprived youth. Breaking all the obstacles, we have to build resistance against all injustices.”

He said, "This is a youth movement for the deprived young people from the right to vote and right to get job. This is not a movement to get into power. This is a movement to restore people‍‍`s right to vote and freedom of speech.”

Secha Sebok Dal President SM Jilani, Acting General Secretary of Jubo Dal Shafiqul Islam Milton, General Secretary of Secha Sebok Dal Rajib Ahsan, Chhatra Dal President Kazi Rawonkul Islam Shraban, General Secretary Saif Mahmud Jewel were present in the press conference.

BNP announced `Youth rally‍‍` in early June to attract new voters and youth. 

According to the announcement, earlier on June 14, June 19, June 24, July 9, and on July 17  BNP held youth rally in Chittagong, Bogra, Barisal, Sylhet and Khulna respectively. In continuation of this, the last youth rally is being held today in Dhaka.

Jubo League protest march:

The Awami Jubo League will hold a protest march in front of the party office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital‍‍`s Gulistan around 3 pm.

According to Jubo League sources, Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash will lead the protest march in front of the party office in Gulistan to protest against BNP-Jamaat terrorism and anarchy.

According to Jubo League sources, with the leadership of General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil- Jubo League presidium member Mamunur Rashid, Munjur Alam Shaheen, Abu Ahmed Nasim Pavel, Sheikh Sohail Uddin, Dr. Khaled Shawkat Ali, Joint General Trust Matiur Rahman Badsha, Subrata Pal and Md. Baidul Alam will be present along with the other central leaders.

Meanwhile, the Awami League does not have a program in the capital today, despite launching a counter-program to the BNP‍‍`s program in December, which included protests strikes, and rallies.

However, Noakhali district branch of Awami League will hold a ‍‍`development and peace rally‍‍` at the district school ground today. The party‍‍`s general secretary and road transport and bridge minister Obaidul Quader will be present along with central leaders. According to local Awami League sources, Companiganj upazila branch of Awami League will hold the same program on Sunday.
